Installing Serrature Meroni Classroom Knobset To Classroom Doors

About 6 months ago we completed installation of about 40 new Serrature Meroni Combina K17 Handle sets in place of the existing (and comparatively more expensive) Arrow and Schlage grade 1 handle sets.

$ for $ comparison pitted the Meroni hardware at about half the cost of the other more widely recognized brand names. (Including installation costs)

The first video above, shows the handle set just after it was initially installed before the final inside cover was installed.

We used Don-Jo scar plates to cover the 2-1/8" crossbore holes allowing the Combina hardware to easily and securely fit.
The Meroni hardware uses a footprint of about 1-3/4" (40mm) crossbore's, so the scar plate is necessary to save from using a wrap around or having to replace the door or fill the hole and re-drill.

The second video above, shows the handle installation completed and tested. It is obvious to see why this product is especially suited to aged care facilities where patrons may suffer with arthritis and other disability issues that make turning a door knob or lever awkward.

In this school, the teachers really love the new handles and so do the kids. The facilities maintenance staff appreciate these new style handle sets too, because there is little to no maintenance required, sagging levers can never occur, the products are incredibly easy to use and operate and the ambience is very pleasing.

The product range from Meroni is ADA compliant (actually exceeds life safety codes) and provides quality, functional, easy to use and beautiful looking handle systems that differ to the mainstream lines found more widely.

We are the exclusive USA distributors of Serrature Meroni modern handle sets.
