StrikeMaster II - New Installation

Last week, I received a job through the Service Magic contracting service to contact a customer to repair his door frame. I recommended him to visit this website and view the Strikemaster II product. He called me back the very next day to order an installation.

This customer suffered a break in where the exact purpose of the strikemaster was designed for. The door, being of solid construction and very good quality, the lock being of reasonable security and aesthetics, did their job properly, but the Jamb (where the door closes into) was made form light grade pine that was 1" x 2" in size. It broke with a small kick from a burglar and almost completely shattered the door frame.

The customer had inquired as to how much to get the whole frame replaced, elsewhere, before contacting Service Magic. My solution was the most economical and most aesthetically pleasing, negating the need to replace all the carpentry. The client saved 100's of dollars on the job as a result.

In many customers homes, their actual front doors (or back doors) may be constructed using metal casings (on the door itself), but the actual jamb (where the door closes into) is usually made from wood. Whilst the door may be reasonably strong enough to withstand an attempted forced entry, the jamb is usually not. Enter Strikemaster II.

Locks210.com is pleased to make this product now available to residents and businesses in St Louis.

StrikeMaster II offers a unique and innovative solution to prevent burglars from entering your home, StrikeMaster II strikes-back instantly. Its patented strike plates make the door casing virtually unbreakable.

The easiest way for a criminal to get into your house is just too kick-in your door! The FBI says every 12 seconds a home is invaded by going right through the front or back door. Open your front door and look at the dead bolt plate. There is one inch of soft wood protecting the safety of your home - your door casings can not protect you from a thief kicking your door

How much does a StrikeMaster II cost? $109.95 plus shipping/handling and installation.

A former police officer was recently quoted. "
I am a retired Chief of Police with more than 30 years in law enforcement and security and have investigated 1000's of residential burglaries and domestic assaults that were due to the crashing or kicking in of the doors at the home. .... I am proud to announce that I have seen an amazing new product called the StrikeMaster II. This is inexpensive and stronger than any would-be homicidal maniac, I promise... the security market has finally produced a product that is better than locks and alarms. I highly recommend this product on all your outside doors at your home." - Donald Purnell CLL, CFE, Director of Security, Sentry Watch, Inc.

There are numerous testimonials to the quality of this product. One in particular is:
"On the 16th of May, 2005, our home in Chicago was broken into by thieves who shouldered/kicked their way in, through 3 separate doors, one entry and two apartments. A considerable amount of valuables and memorabilia were stolen, including identity theft. Upon observing the 'ease' of entry by these thieves, we set about investigating door protection measures on the internet.
After observing a very graphic video on the 'Safe Home International' site, we ordered the StrikeMaster II for overnight delivery, with the caveat that we would do a 'real-life' test after installation. My installer naturally had his doubts, as I asked him to kick and shoulder the door, after the product was installed. He asked me who would pay for the door frame repair 'in case it didn't work as advertised,'I said I would be responsible, since the safety of our family and property was of utmost concern. I weigh in at 240 lbs and I 'shouldered/kicked' the door three times, without it's failing. My installer, who closely approximates the LARGE individual in the graphic video, had at the door next. He shouldered it twice and kicked it last, his size 11 shoe imprint is still on the back door, although the wall seemed to 'bow in,' the door did not budge. My installer came away convinced, and I came away satisfied, that I made my Family and my Home that much more secure.
The cost/benefit ratio as well is definitely in favor of the StrikeMaster II in comparison with other devices currently on the market. To say that we are more than pleased with the results we obtained from the product, as well as it's support, would be an accurate assessment

Article in US News about Locksmithing as a career.

Locksmith/Security System Technician: Executive Summary

Posted December 19, 2007

Key to job satisfaction is how often you help someone in distress. Locksmithing scores near the top. One of life's most vulnerable feelings is returning home to find your home broken into; a locksmith can make you safer. One of life's more frustrating experiences is being locked out of your car; a locksmith lets you in.

And today's locksmiths go well beyond locks and keys. Your car door may no longer have an entry key but a transponder. In your home or business, security techs install electronic and biometric (thumbprint or iris) entry and fire alarm systems, complete with closed-circuit TV networked to a central monitoring facility.

And despite the field's growing complexity, training is quick. You do, however, need a knack for working with gadgets and electronics. Basic carpentry, electrical, and welding skills help, too. Perhaps most important, you must be able to resist temptation—after all, you do know how to pick locks. If you have those attributes, locksmithing is a worthy career choice. Along with police officers and FBI agents, yours is the noble goal of foiling the baddie—but with much less risk to life and limb.

Median Pay

National: $44,000. More pay data by metropolitan area

(Data provided by PayScale.com)

Training

Most locksmiths learn on the job, supervised by a master locksmith. That's supplemented by short online or in-person courses offered by locksmith associations or manufacturers.

Sensor Technology as a replacement for Invasive CCTV technology

Tracking people's every move using buildings packed with motion sensors is more effective than CCTV, and less invasive to privacy, say researchers who tried the technique on their own colleagues.

"We want to have a god's eye view of the entire space," says Yuri Ivanov of the Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories (MERL), who led the project with colleague Christopher Wren.

That may sound like the desire of George Orwell's fictional "Big Brother" in 1984. But the MERL system should actually preserve people's privacy better than CCTV and make buildings safer and more secure, says Ivanov.

All-seeing eyes

As digital video cameras get cheaper and smaller, CCTV systems are becoming more common. But as well as raising privacy concerns, Ivanov and Wren say, the footage is difficult to search through or interpret quickly.

As an alternative, the two researchers used arrays of small, cheap motion detectors to watch over people instead, with their officemates as guinea pigs. They fitted their 3000 square metre office building with an array of 215 simple detectors placed along the hallways at 2-metre intervals.

The detectors collect much less information than the cameras. "It's not going to catch you picking your nose. You can only tell that some person went by," Wren explains, "maybe this is better than living under thousands of cameras."

But the motion-detector system still collects a lot of information. To find unusual or interesting patterns in the data, the researchers developed software to display movements of people around the building on a map in real time. People show up as a bright spot trailing a tail of lights that slowly fade away (see video, right).

Another view summarises data from sensors across a period of time, for example a week, month or year, in a way that makes it possible to see patterns or anomalies at a glance.

Identity parade

The system also includes a handful of cameras, at selected spots in the building. Footage of passers by can be used to identify people, who can then be tracked around the building using the motion sensor data.

Users can select a certain path on the map – for example from the office drinks machine to the front door – to call up motion and video data from the path at a particular time and reveal who used the route. "A target audience for this was security," says Ivanov, "but that's not the only use."

Data collected during a fire evacuation drill revealed that almost everyone in the building left through one exit; the two other doors nearby went largely unused. Understanding how people use spaces like this could help improve safety, they argue.

Longer-term patterns, like how late people stay at work or where they tend to congregate, have other uses. "It has large implications for energy savings," Ivanov adds, saying that heating or air-conditioning use could be informed by the data.

Marauder's map

"I've not seen this approach before in journals or at conferences," says Marimuthu Palaniswami at the University of Melbourne in Australia. "But I have seen it in fiction, for example the Marauder's map in Harry Potter."

The technique appears simple and usable, he says. "They have produced a system that could be implemented with little difficulty and would be very useful for security monitoring."

Daniel Keim of the University of Konstanz in Germany agrees that usability is a big advantage. Most techniques for analysing data from sensor networks depend on automatically detecting certain behaviours specified ahead of time, making spotting unexpected features difficult, he says.

    Unlocking Antique Furniture Locks

Antique furniture locks come in all shapes sizes and styles. Often people lose their keys when the pieces are locked. As a locksmith, I have been called upon numerous times to open and make keys to these antique furniture pieces.

Many antique furniture pieces including curio cabinets, use really old hardware made from brass and iron. Many of the locks are small and can be rusting.

The most efficient and easiest method for opening a locked drawer or door, is to impression a new key to the lock. The impression system of key fitting is the one skill that is unique to locksmithing.
Impressioning is used daily by few locksmith technicians these days and the art and talent is diminishing.

Impressioning enables the use of a keyblank, some hand files and some practised techniques to produce working keys to locks without the need to dismantle the piece of furniture. Largely, there is also rarely any damage to the woodwork, which is a good thing, because this maintains the value of the piece.

How does one impression an antique cupboard lock?

    1. Select Key blank
    2. Cut down flag to enter keyway.
    3. Blacken the flag (with carbon or a match)
    4. Insert key into keyway and turn as far as it will go.
    5. Turn and wiggle key numerous times.
    6. remove key from keyway
    7. Examine keyblank for "impressions"
    8. File minimally, where the impressions occur on the keyblank
This method need to be continued until such a time that the key operates the lock smoothly. It is a talent that few tradesmen technicians still use today. It definitely requires practise, but it save the needs to dismantle a perfectly good lock.

    Forcable Entry Training

Recently came across this fascinating video about how easily firefighters break down entrances.

Conventional thinking, with regard to security products and locking systems, rarely actually take into account the strength of the door or jamb. Sometimes, it may not matter how expensive a lock you install on your entry, a determined burglar with the right tools will cause such destructive entry all too easily.

This is a prime reason why people, concerned about security or the protection of their assets, should consider products like the Strikemaster II.

It is designed to strengthen the jamb against this type of attack. It would be grossly irresponsible to claim total protection from this attack, with the product, although it is one of very few products of it's type to offer some sort of defense.

    Samsung Digital Door Locks

Samsung have recently released a new electronic digital door lock with a very slim user interface, which looks more like a cell phone at first sight, with a thickness of only 21.5 mm! The EZon Home Network System SHS-1110 has a touchscreen and is made of aluminum alloy and tempered glass.
The SHS-1110 comes in two colors, black and silver, and it measures 2.70 inches (W) x 6.89 inches (H) x 0.84 inches (D). The price tag is about US$ 180.

Technical specifications will be released soon, but it is supposed to work with virtually all existing mortise locks for commercial use in the United States.

    New Surveillance camera Technology

March 31, 2008 Researchers at the University of Alabama (UAH) have developed a wide-angle camera that will assist security forces by enabling them to monitor large areas through high-resolution images taken from a satellite or an airborne craft. The proposed one giga-pixel camera was created after UAH researcher, David Pollock, discovered that if you point a large number of lenses toward a common point, and then make a small correction on each of the lenses, you have a camera with capabilities that far surpass existing technologies.

Current technologies used to capture high resolution images taken from satellites or aircraft suffer from a very small field-of-view. The new camera designed by Pollock and his team, allows the user to view the entire scene and to also zoom in closely on a certain area with very high resolution at real time. Flying at an altitude of 15,000 feet, a developmental version of the camera can see a 21-kilometer diameter area with a resolution of 0.3 meters. As a comparison, most Google Earth imagery is 1 meter.

The ability to view sections of the scene in high resolution has advantages for security forces. Images from existing cameras have to be tiled like the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle before a full picture can be seen, a serious disadvantage for defense surveillance as vehicles can end up appearing more than once if they move from one image to the next between exposures. These types of errors frequently exist in online mapping tools, such as Google Earth or Microsoft’s Virtual Earth, according to Pollock. To rectify this problem, the new camera has an array of light sensitive chips - each one recording small parts of a larger image - at the focal plane of a large multiple-lens system. The system has the structure of a common kitchen utensil, a colander. The camera would have one giga-pixel resolution, and be able to record images at five frames per second. Ultimately the camera can cover nearly a hemispherical field-of-view with uniform image quality and sensitivity.

Pollock says the camera could have far-reaching implications for the military, crime prevention and enforcement as well as traffic analysis and emergency response support. The giga-pixel camera will fit in a one-meter cube, could be flown on any type of vehicle – airplanes, helicopters, blimps or unmanned aerial vehicles.

UAH has filed the patent for the large-format giga-pixel camera (which it shares on a 50-50 basis with Sony Corp).

    Entrance Sets

Some recent enquiries lead me to write this post. I am noticing more and more customers are starting to take notice of the hardware on their doors. Specifically, that their hardware, as it exists now, appears to be of poor quality.

As the Mid-West's premier dealer of the Bilock product, it is worth knowing that Bilock, dramatically improves the bump resistance, pick resistance and quality of the key mechanism in many leading brands of hardware.

Bilock does not make any of it's own entrance sets. We provide superior quality cylinders to dramatically improve the quality of most existing leading brands of hardware.

There are many brands of hardware that Bilock will work in and you can economically and effectively key alike and master key across multiple hardware brands using Bilock Extreme Security cylinders. So, you can have the greatest looking keys, the most secure lock cylinders and your choice of hardware. What more could you want?

Recent changes in the value of the $US have lead to price increases in many and varying brands of hardware and Bilock is no exception although, it is still by far the most competitively priced product in $ for $ value of all the competing brands in the same market (of which there are many choices). Yet it is the only brand that absolutely guarantees against duplication of keys.

Bilock branded products are specifically limited to very few OEM products because the market has demanded that manufacturers match to existing hardware so as to reduce costs, wherever possible.

    Locks210.com
are proud Bilock Extreme Security Dealers and are pleased to offer our 25 years experience in this product line to North America.

"I've Locked My Keys In The Car"

Perhaps the most common cattle call I have heard in the last 25 years in this business. I receive probably 10-15 calls per week from people requesting access to their Car Keys, because they inadvertently locked them in the car.

Most, if not all, cars are fairly simple to get into, yet it is astounding as to the rediculous charges some companies command for gaining entry.

Just today, one customer commented on how prices vary between companies. I handled the call quickly as it was near my workshop and the customer was in his car within 20 minutes of calling me for $45.00. He mentioned that he did some price shopping first and found prices ranging from $30 to $140. He was also aware of the recently publicized scams that have been in the news about phony locksmiths ripping off the unsuspecting public.

I have worked on cars for most of the last 25 years and have made keys to a great many different types and vintages of vehicles. More common today, you will find "Chip" keys. These keys are basically a transponder chip located inside the keyhead of many modern cars, that interact with the computer in the ignition, allowing the car to operate.

These keys are relatively expensive to duplicate because they require special keyblanks and machinery to reproduce. It was once thought that car dealers were the only ones who could make these keys but the truth is, there are a few locksmiths who are also equipped to handle these requests.

Locks210.com does NOT provide duplicate Transponder keys (CHIP KEYS) nor can we provide originals. Our reasoning is simple. The cost for purchasing the suitable machinery for being able to make keys to the wide variety of vehicles on the road today is far too high, when you consider software updates, keyblank changes and the low demand for this type of work in the greater St Louis region. Combine this with the fact that many modern vehicles are using keyless remotes and that the technology is actually moving away from mechanical keys, we determined that there is insufficient call to make this a worthwile product offering especially when the prices we would need to charge would be incredibly high to cover costs alone.

We are happy to recommend other locksmith companies who have invested in such equipment.

    Locks210.com
still only charges $45.00* to open your car. We dont believe in fleecing our clients.

    Strikemaster II

Having had a recent request to repair a customers door jamb after a recent break in, I installed one of these Strikemaster II jamb re-inforcers and the solution proved it's worth within one week.

The customer's home was revisited by a burglar the next week after the Strikemaster was installed, but this time could not break the door down. The obvious signs of attempts were boot marks on the door. This proved for me the absolute value of this brilliant product.

How much does it cost to change a lock?

Many enquiries that locksmiths receive, are about the cost to change locks.

Often, clients are meaning to inquire as to just changing the combinations of their existing locks, so they can maintain the same hardware on their doors.

Or when the keys to their house, office or automobile have been misplaced, stolen or even copied unknowingly (suspected), they have the need to re-code their locks.
Also many new home buyers or new tenants want to make sure that previous residents of their property can no longer gain entry.

Locksmiths across the country vary greatly in their fees. There are accepted industry averages published in locksmith publications like The National Locksmith magazine and the Locksmith Ledger magazine annually, but the going rate can vary from around $5.00 per keyhole to as much as $20.00 per keyhole for residential or commercial door locks and from $10.00 to $35.00 for automobile locks. Often this does not include labor for the removal and refitting of locks.

Master-keying is another charge that most locksmiths charge slightly higher fees for. Often, specialist products like Medeco or Multlock or Primus or Best or Assa or Abloy or Bilock products can incur significantly increased fees due to the higher cost for the pin or disc tumblers.

Locks210.com charges a standard fee of $17.50 per keyhole to re-key a standard residential or commercial door cylinder sometimes including labor for removal and refitting. Master-keying is $25.00 per keyhole.

We can offer automobile re-keying services but prices are subject to application. There are many and varying brands and manufacturers of automobile lock cylinders, requiring multiple different keying kits. Stocking all possible kits to service all makes and models of foreign and domestic vehicles requires significant amounts of warehousing that directly impacts costs.

    New Warning

Locks210.com has recently learned about some new techniques being employed by various companies masquerading as locksmith companies.

These techniques include the manipulation of internet search engines, using inherent tools and knowledge thought held secret by search engine companies.

In almost all cities and towns across America, Canada, Europe and the Middle East, the search engines are full of the same scammer companies that have taken up residence in the first pages of the classifications in Yellow Pages and other telephone book directories.

It is a well known fact that search engines use spiders to crawl the web. These spiders crawl through all internet websites, looking for external and internal links, website content and keywords.

To place higher in given search terms on any search engine including Google, MSN, Yahoo and others, a combination of the 3 above items need to be constantly updated and reconsidered and reconfigured.

Increasing the quantity of links to and from your website is of vast importance to improving your website rankings. The scammer locksmith companies have cottoned on to this knowledge and produced many thousands of individual websites with individual domain names and are now linking all these sites together. This automatically gets the search engine spiders to work much harder to map the web, consequently causing those particular sites to rank higher in search engines for given keywords.

It is therefore very important for customers of locksmith companies to be wary of and check the affiliations and (in some states) licenses of their selected locksmith professional.

Independant investigations conducted recently, have produced high statistics of the more common locksmith requests and the quantity of locksmiths who advertise in Yellow Pages and first page of search engines, have revealed that many of these scammer companies, using deceptive techniques through their advertising, have been receiving the major percentage of inquiries. Further investigations of these companies have revealed insufficient training and knowledge of local hardware, replacement parts, access to tools for the professional tradesperson. Their insufficient knowledge and training of local products proves that the outrageous prices they have been levying are ripping off consuners.

The names of these companies have been listed numerous times in various news articles and reports. I will not list them here, because this action will increase their presence on the world wide web.

Pre-screened service professionals is one way to go, but be wary of locksmiths who are not members of professional associations and can prove such.

    New Panasonic Security Cameras

Panasonic recently unveiled two types of Security Cameras-VL-CM140KT and VL-CM160KT equipped with a sensor, which can operate in concert with the Panasonic's flat screen TV VIERA. When the Security Camera is connected with a compatible model of VIERA via LAN, images shot with the camera can be viewed on the TV screen. It is designed to monitor various places on private property, such as the garage and entrance. The two Panasonic Security Cameras the VL-CM140KT and VL-CM160KT, are both for outdoor use. They are fixed-focus cameras equipped with a 1/4-inch 320,000-pixel CMOS image sensor. The VL-CM160KT has a white LED light in the camera unit to illuminate the object when the sensor is activated. The focal range is 0.3m or farther. The cameras output JPEG-compressed images frame by frame. Both models are powered from a power supply unit provided with the product via a LAN cable that works also for the network connection. They can be installed under the eaves, etc, because the camera unit has a rainproof performance equivalent to JIS waterproof grade 3. They are operable in ambient temperatures from -20 to +50°C.

When the camera is connected to a compatible VIERA model via a LAN, images shot with the camera can be displayed on the TV screen using the remote control. If the sensor is activated when the TV is on, a message to inform the user of the activation is displayed on the screen. The compatible models of VIERA are the TH-50PX80, TH-42PX80, TH-37PX80, TH-32LX80, TH-26LX80, TH-20LX80 and TH-17LX8 as of Jan 21, 2008. oth cameras are slated for launch on April 21, 2008.

    Computer Padlock

If you consider the material on your computer to be so valuable that you need to turn your computer into a veritable safe, the computer padlock is for you.

Sure, it's tough to compare your family photos and pornography collection into things like diamonds and bonds that have, you know, legitimate value, but I'm sure there's at least one person out there who would steal your precious data.

So go ahead and drop $120 on this thing. It simply plugs into a USB port on your computer, making it inaccessible without the proper code.

It runs on a couple of AA batteries which should keep you going for 5 years or so without needing to be replaced, and it'll make sure that no enterprising thieves get their hands on your vacation photos

    Twin Draft Guard

While not necessarily being a security product directly, the Twin Draft Guard, now being widely advertised on television, is a sensational product that is very competitively priced and offers potential savings on energy costs.

My original thoughts about this product were, "what does a product of this kind have to do with security products or services?"

But when you consider that the gaps found at the bottom of doors are potential spots that can allow for covert entry, a product like this can offer security from this action.

There are tools available to slide under the door, that can be manipulated to open the inner turn-button on your door lock. Using this product, not only can you save money on your energy costs, but you can make this form of surreptitious entry almost impossible.

As advertised on TV, this product sells for $19.99.

    Is that unbeatable value?

    Biometric Garage Door Entry

Master Lock Co. have introduced a new product to enter the Biometric products market.

The smartTOUCH garage door opener works with any manufacturer’s garage door opener, and stores up to 20 user’s fingerprints. You can also provide temporary access for contractors or visitors etc, by adding, deleting, and changing user profiles.

I know, it’s all good until someone hacks your finger off, just like SmartScan, but what are ya gonna do? The smartTOUCH operates by sliding the cover open and swiping your finger(Assuming you still have it). The device’s algorithm reads the “unique swirls on your finger to create a unique code, that only comes back to you.” The code is then encrypted and can’t be used to recreate your print. They say that it will work out of the box and is a breeze to install and operate. It’s also weatherproof and can operate at temperatures from -30 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit. You can get one at Home Depot stores everywhere for a MSRP of $129.95.

Danny was very professional and friendly at the same time. He not only gave me the quote and fixed the exterior door and explained his work. Please feel free to have Danny pass out my number for my total experience review 314-351-5553

Charlie M. (St Louis, MO) November 2015

Danny was pleasure to meet and was very knowledgable. He explained several lock replacement options but I decided none of them were a good fit for a storm door, however, I did replace a lock on my entry door with a type of lock I had never seen before. I would highly recommend this company.
Patricia J (Bridgeton, MO) March 2014
They were prompt and showed up when he said he would show up. He knew his stuff. I had ordered new handles and he was honest enough to say that we don't need them that he can fix the doors and he did. Made me lock and unlock my doors to his satisfaction so that I knew what to do. Am very, very pleased with the service and cost.
Joyce K (Glencoe, MO) May 2015

Showed up on time for appointment. Was very knowledgeable about the project and offered a solution beyond what I asked to be done.
Stephen G (Chesterfield, MO) May 2015

Daniel was right on time, assessed the problems I had with two doors, made the repairs, and explained what caused the problems to begin with .... He is a "door expert" and a true professional. I highly recommend him.

Vince V (St. Louis MO) May, 2015

Danny was fabulous! He went over my concerns and he provided me with more than a fair quote. He was there when he said he was going to be there. I would highly recommend Danny. Cheers!
    Denise S (Imperial, MO) May 8, 2014

Hired Danny to re-key locks on "new" house purchase. He advised to replace with new deadbolts & door knobs on 3 entry doors instead which I agreed with. All doors have 1 matching key & the safety of excellent quality product & workmanship. He also added new strike plate to door frame to complete project.. I recommend as your 1st & only call to a Locksmith.

Denise F (St. Louis, MO) April 3, 2014

Danny was very helpful in solving a pretty complex problem involving many lock.
    Scott C (Eureka, MO) March 27, 2014

Needed patio door track to run smoothly. Arrived early, fixed door and explained what he was doing during repair. Quick and easy. Door works great, my wife will now speak to me, and I've become a better dancer.

    Mike W. (Arnold/Oakville MO) July 2013

The owner spent a longtime with me on the phone helping diagnosis the problem. He was on-time, friendly and helped resolve my issue. I will definitely use him again!

Chris C (Lake St Louis, MO) July 2013

I had a very pleasant experience with Master Key Systems. They came out, did the job (which took longer than expected) and they did not change the price they quoted me. Now, I am not certain that it was a great value for the money because I don't have a comparison, but they did what they said, when they said, for the price they said. Enough said!!!

Antonio B (Saint Louis, Missouri) March 2013

Professional.. Upfront about charges. Fixed the sticky door within 20 minutes. I will recommend Master Key for exterior door issues.
Muthu R (Ballwin, MO) July 2012

Danny was a master craftsman, knowledgable and professional. I will be calling on him again in the future as well as passing on his services to friends and family.

Marsha L (Saint Louis, MO) July 2012

Danny was excellent! I called him on a Monday to fix a sliding glass door. He happened to have the exact part we needed (and it was not an easy find - we had looked everywhere) and he came over Tuesday evening. He stayed until 8:00 until the job was done, and cleaned up afterwards. He was courteous, professional, and efficient! I could not be happier!

Rachel P Maryland Heights, MO (July 2012)

He did an excellent job. Got there on time and quickly solved the issue. Was very pleasant and explained the situation and how to keep the door from sticking in the future. Would definitely use Master Key LLC again!

Neil F. (Saint Louis, MO) April 2012

Danny was very friendly and knowledgeable, although his apprentice seemed to do most of the work, Danny kept an eye on him to make sure it was done right. He had very reasonable pricing for re-keying.
Greg D (St Louis, MO) October 2011

He was extrememly fabulous and helpful and did a wonderful job. He was very professional.
Shannon M. (Arnold, MO) October 2011

Growing up spending so much of my time in Italy, the uniqueness of the Nova Classico left quite an impression on me. To be able to have and enjoy them in my own home here in the states is a nostalgic indulgence I'm enjoying beyond words. Thank you Danny for coordinating this transaction.

Joseph M (Chicago, IL) September 2011

great job. hired on the spot and he did job right then at great price

Ron B (Arnold, MO) July 2011

I searched the internet and found your services. I received three phone calls within several days. A service call was scheduled. Two gentlemen arrived promptly, analyzed the problem and fixed it.
James & Florenc M Saint Louis, MO July 2011

The repairman was on time and did an excellent job of fixing a very stubborn door lock. He was persistent and cleaned up the work area afterwards. I would use this service again.

Brenda F (Saint Peters, MO) June 2011

Danny at Master Key Systems has succeeded in making the purchasing of our Meroni door locks, from Italy, an absolute breeze. Even though I live in Australia with a 16hr time difference and was ordering door knobs from Italy that weren't in stock, the whole process was faultless. Danny was prompt and efficient with all his emails and made sure we had covered every possible variable so that the product I received was exactly as required. I would have no hesitation in recommending Danny for your next purchase.
    Patrick Carr (Canberra, Australia)

Your product really helped because I needed to secure a nurse's station adjacent to a waiting room and needed a pocket door. Unfortunately, no real options were available to lock a pocket door effectively that would keep me compliant with HIPAA and secure an area that stores medical supplies. This was vitally important as this particular waiting room was for "waiting detox patients". Thank you very much.
Randall R The Fritz Clinic (Birmingham, Al) March 2011

Danny was very polite and knew what the problem was and how to fix it. He also gave me some information about other issues that could arise with my door and locks. Will hire again if I ever need that type of work done.
Jason M Imperial, MO March 2011

I had an exterior basement door that dragged when opening and closing. The hinges were not fitting properly and the door frame had shifted, probably due to the age of the house. The screwswould not go far enough into the wall without hitting stone...even using a special drill bit. Dan worked a long time drilling and sanding to shore up the door as best as possible. I know it will never be perfect. He could have easily sold me a new door and the same issue would happen. He was honest, thorough, and did an excellent job without charging me a fortune. I'm satisfied with the door now. If you want an honest, experienced man, Then Dan is the man

Roger M Saint Louis, MO March 2011

I purchased the Cowdroy P697 Pocket door lock with key over the internet. I emailed questions before my purchase and was provided with the answers quickly by return email. The purchase was quick and easy and the lock was shipped immediatly. Installation is quick and easy. But you do need to convert millimeters to inches (use the internet) in the installation instructions. And the lock looks great and works great. I will do business with them again. THANK YOU

    Ed D (February, 2011)
